2012 Jaguar XJ Review

The original XJ was the last car designed by Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons and the last car to carry the plate is so innovative, beautiful and desirable as his famous machine.

Revolutionary, not evolutionary, the Jaguar XJ is actually a product of 21 century and is the clearest indication yet not a single goal behind the vision of the design director Ian Callum, Jaguar's future.
 

 

The only full-length panoramic glass roof that floods the interior with natural light allows the Jaguar XJ to offer an unparalleled sense of inclusiveness and opportunity for the driver and passengers, while preserving the elegant coup�-like profile and flexible position Jaguars is famous.
 



Architecture lightweight aluminum

Die innovative design is a counterbalance to the same construction techniques experienced an impressive Jaguar. Lightweight aluminum construction - 50 percent, which is made from recycled materials - provides fuel consumption and reduce emissions. Along with the life cycle of designing and building, this allows the Jaguar XJ to minimize its carbon footprint.
 



The weight saved by the use of aluminum - an average of 150 kg compared to its rivals - which also benefits the performance and agility and is complemented by increasingly advanced, powerful and efficient powertrain Jaguar. The engine range has been extended to the range in 2012 with the installation of a gasoline engine 3.0-liter V6 (niche market). All engines are coupled with a shift-by-wire, six-speed automatic transmission controlled by the JaguarDrive selector or steering wheel paddles.
 



Contemporary Cottage

The interior of the Jaguar XJ combines a sleek, contemporary design with comfort, luxury and sporty style of a Jaguar unique. Chrome and black piano retailer offering a striking contrast to the beautifully crafted leather and wood veneer surfaces. Standard and long wheelbase are available for an even more luxurious and refined for the rear passengers.
 



Advanced technology has allowed Jaguar's interior designers to create an environment closer to a state of the art living space of a passenger vehicle. Excellent 12.3-inch high-definition virtual instruments are complemented by an innovative touch screen dual-purpose 8-inch allows passengers to watch DVD movies or TV shows, while the driver has the functions of the vehicle or satellite navigation directions.
 



Premium surround sound settings including high-end Bowers & Wilkins 1200W model system is comparable in sound quality the best in home entertainment. Advanced features also include audio information and entertainment hard drive and navigation systems and connectivity for portable audio and video devices completely through the powerful Media Hub.
 



2012 improvements

Subtle improvements in the cabin is now available for the XJ range 2012 to allow greater customization and flexibility. A new Comfort Package offers rear seats that are now adjusting electric rear seat angle, four-way lumbar support and massage function. More comfort is provided by new winged headrests, footrests and the ability for the front passenger seat to be stored out of the way to raise additional unoccupied legs.
 



The new portfolio of derivatives' Executive Pack long wheelbase is converted back of the Jaguar XJ in a space with high speed mobile office with the provision of portable folding trays and a power rear sunshade for more privacy. The package also includes updating the direction of carpets, wood and leather combination of the wheel, brilliant choice of wood veneer and chrome mirror caps.
 



Jaguar has always listened to customer feedback and in the case of the Jaguar XJ, which led to a combination of new interior colors. Available with premium levels of luxury and upholstery portfolio Jet / Ivory Ivory possibility of jet features with contrast stitching, piping and top surfaces, while the title is available in color, depending on customer preference.

All Jaguar XJ variants are now available with a package derived from the Enlightenment proposed rule Supersport. This includes cover on the lock and start front and rear ventilation.
